Hi, I’m Michael Vasquez. I am a 26 year old graphic designer and digital illustrator based in Fresno, CA. I graduated from California State University of Fresno in 2017 with a B.F.A in Graphic Design Illustration.

I make digital illustrations inspired by culture and history; more specifically my culture of Native American and Mexican. My work begin as an exploration into educating myself about my culture, but has now expanded into educating and exposing others to this culture.

I begin taking my artwork seriously in the summer of 2017 once I graduated from college. I started attending comic-cons, anime events, art pop-ups, and everything in between. In the summer of 2019 I got an art studio space in downtown Fresno.

Izel = unique in the Nahuatl language. People always tell me that my artwork is unique; thus the name Izelillustrations was born.
