On Patreon and Membership
Hi, hope you’ll doing well! Today i’ll be writing a bit about my Patreon and the Izel Clubs I created on my website, and what I am hoping to accomplish with these as we move a forward.
I currently have 6 Izel clubs right now; Sticker, Embroidered Patch, Enamel Pin, Pin & Patch, Pin & Sticker, and Apparel. I created these with the intention allowing people to support me financially every month while also receiving a tangible merch item that I produce. In terms of getting people paying attention to it and actually joining, it has been going pretty good! I always like to be very transparent in what I do, and so I will share that I am currently receiving just about $84 a month with 6 members spread across Patreon and my own website. I do find it surprising that more people are directly supporting me through my website than through Patreon. I actually do get more money when people join through my website than through Patreon, and so that is really great for me and I appreciate anybody and everybody that does that.
One of my first biggest goals is to reach $265 a month. That amount of money each month will completely cover the rent for my art studio. Before the pandemic, we used to have monthly art events at the studio, where I would sell my artwork and more or less make my monthly rent every month. And not know how long this will continue, having a reliably way of making that rent every month would be amazing. We do have a couple smaller goals that when we reach, everybody will get a small one time gift such as a sticker, enamel pin, etc. The pandemic has definitely made me think of new ways to market myself, the brand, and my products, to make sure i am at least staying financially stable.
I hope that everybody is staying safe, staying healthy, and taking care of themselves, their friends, their families, and their communities, We still have a lot of stuff we need to get through, but if we can meet these issues with courage, empathy, and intention, I know we can persevere.
